GOODMAN, MO —

John Junior Proctor, 83, Goodman, Mo., went home, to be with his Lord, peacefully surrounded by his family on Jan. 30, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

John was born Sept. 10, 1929, in the Erie Community of McDonald County, Mo., the son of John and Kate (Lyons) Proctor.  He was a lifelong area resident, a mechanic and cattleman.

John married Eva L. (Brodie) Proctor on March 5, 1947, in Pineville. She preceded him in death on Dec. 23, 1991.

He is survived by two sons, Jim Proctor and wife, Mary, South Carolina, and Jerry Proctor and Janelle Rice, Goodman; four daughters, Wilda Smith and Ron Beale, Joplin, JoAnn McDonald and husband, Ron, Rhonda Guy and husband, Robert and Connie Studdard and husband, Greg, all of Goodman; one brother, Daniel Proctor, Neosho; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a special friend and companion, Ruby DuBois. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Dale Proctor and Dennis Proctor; a daughter, Judy Proctor; a granddaughter, Crystal Guy; four brothers, Claude, Edward, Tom and Cecil Proctor; and two sisters, May Mahurin and Mary Proctor.

Services for John will be held on Monday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. His son, Pastor Jim Proctor will officiate. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Robert L. Guy, Greg Studdard, John Wayne Proctor, Kris Wilson, Eric Studdard and Robert W. J. Guy III. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. and the family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
