Sandra Aldrich

JOPLIN, Mo. —

Sandra (Sandy) L. Aldrich, daughter of Albert Ray Pebworth and Geneva Mae Hansen was born in September of 1961. Sandy received the awesome gift of entering our Lord’s pearly gates of heaven on April 16, 2012, at the age of 50.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father in 2002.

Loving survivors include her daughter, Dezarae S. Pebworth; her mother, Geneva M. Hansen; Kim Thomas, Texas, Mike Thomas and wife, Jackie, of Sedalia, Mo., brother Don Pebworth and wife, Cindy, of Laurie, Mo., brother Keath Pebworth and wife, Nicole, of Versailles, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, other family member and many friends. Also, very important to her were her loving dogs Mamma and Baby.

Sandy was born in California but was raised in and spent most of her life in Missouri. She went to college at Columbia College and received her Associate of Arts Degree in Psychiatry.

Sandy was known well for her loving caring heart and her positive attitude. She lived her life helping others and rescuing animals. Sandy was always full of life, exuberance, and love. She would help anyone in need, even total strangers. She loved her dogs as if they were her children and loved all of Gods creatures. She was one of the first people out rescuing animals after the terrible tornado in Joplin last year. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her and we will cherish the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.

A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, 705 East 15th Street, Joplin, MO 64801 at 1 p.m. Saturday April 28th.
