JOPLIN, Mo. —
Ricky L. Crouch, age 52, of Joplin, went Home to the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Freeman Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Rick was born on March 1, 1961, in Purdy, Mo., the son of Howard and Gerrie (Daniel) Crouch. Rick was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from Parkwood High School a member of the class of 1979.
He married Phillis Strickland on Sept. 18, 1981, in Duenweg, Mo.
He was owner of Crouch Custom Woods and he worked for Tamko. He was a member of Central Christian Center where he served as a deacon. Rick was known to be a very hard working man both in his church and his business. He enjoyed wood working, Nascar and most of all being a grandfather to Alex.
Rick's family members include; his wife, Phillis Crouch, Joplin; a daughter, Stacey Kunkel and husband, Matt, Bentonville, Ark.; a grandson, Alex Kunkel; his parents, Howard and Gerrie Crouch, Duenweg; his mother-in-law, Mildred Collins, Joplin; two brothers, David Crouch and wife, Fern, Joplin, and Tony Crouch and wife, Bobbie, Webb City, Mo.; a sister, Gwen Jones and husband, Tom, Joplin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Dr. Hank Deslatte and Pastor Doug Wilkerson will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be given to Central Christian Center in care of the mortuary.
