NEOSHO, MO —
Leslie E. McBroom, 60, Neosho, Mo., died May 9, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital from an accidental fall.
Leslie was born Feb. 1, 1952, in St. Louis, Mo., and moved to Neosho in 1996, from Omaha, Neb. She was co-owner of Neosho Powersports with her husband, Michael, and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Leslie marred Michael McBroom on Nov. 13, 1971, at Imperial, Mo. He survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Amy Bettis and husband, Tom, of Neosho; a son, Josh McBroom and wife, Sheena, of Neosho; three grandchildren, Montie Bettis, T. J. Bettis and Hayden McBroom; one brother, Wm Chilton, Leighigh Acres, Fla.; and two sisters, Katie James, Lake Ozark, Mo., and Carlin Jergens, Poplar Bluff, Mo. She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and two brothers, Doyle Chilton and Jarrett Chilton.
The body has been taken for cremation and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, Pastor Buddy Funk will officiate. Following the memorial service, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall until noon.
