CARTHAGE, Mo. —
Dennis Gene Harmon, age 54, Carthage, Mo., passed away at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014.
Dennis was born Nov. 26, 1959, in Joplin, to Marie Webster Harmon and Darrell Harmon. He was a lifetime area resident.
He had a passion for golf and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. His favorite team, above all else, was the Kansas City Chiefs. He was one of their biggest fans.
Dennis came from a large family and, his family meant everything to him. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He married Marietta Cross on Valentine's Day in 2000. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Brittany, Joplin, Blake, Joplin, and Natalie Patrick, Carthage; his parents, Marie and Floyd "J.R." Baker, Webb City, and Darrell and Karan Harmon, Baxter Springs, Kan.; siblings, Darrell Harmon and his wife, Karen, Carterville, Debbie Cansler and her husband, Ron, Joplin, Darla Harmon and Brent Lawson, Duenweg, Dawn Dunfee and her husband, Charlie, Neosho, and Daren Harmon and his wife, Andrea, Carthage; three grandchildren, Brayden, Rielynn and Briley; many nieces and nephews; and many other extended family members.
Services are planned for Saturday at 10 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Lance Green and Walter Horn will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Parker Mortuary.
