JOPLIN, Mo. —
Steve Clyde Glumm, age 65, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 8:18 Saturday evening, March 1, 2014, at his home.
He was born on May 28, 1948, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Allen and Helen (Lively) Glumm. Steve was a veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army.
He married Linda Conway on Aug. 28, 1969, in St. Louis.
He was a member of the Joplin VFW post 534, the Joplin American Legion post 13 and volunteered with the American Red Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rose Hurbert.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; a son, Albert Glumm and wife, Shellon, of Grand Forks, N.D.; a daughter, Pamela (Glumm) Lefmann and husband, William, of Joplin; eight grandchildren, Andrew Glumm, Faith Herron, Jessica Herron, Brittanie Herron, Christopher Harpole, Elizabeth Glumm, Brandon Glumm and Arya Glumm; four great-grandchildren, Ayden Duncan, Ace Glumm, Collin Haddock and Patience Haddock; a brother, Ira Glumm and wife, Claudine; a sister, Charlotte (Glumm) Rasor and husband, Ray; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
The family suggest contributions to the American Red Cross in care of the mortuary.
