JOPLIN, Mo. —

William 'Bill' Saville, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in Joplin, Mo. He had been suffering from a very long illness.
Bill was born in Pittsfield, Mass., on July 9, 1953, and was the son of Harriet (Bristol) and the late Richard Saville. He grew up in Ridgefield, Conn., and graduated from Ridgefield High School.
Bill was a bright, gentle person with a great sense of humor. He dealt with adversity with a cheerful note and never complained. He spent many years in Boy Scouting and was an Eagle Scout.  
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Saville.
William is survived by his very dear friend, Tamara Leyh, Joplin, and her children, Justin Henson, Joplin, Gary Henson, Joplin, Chrystal Henson, Tahlequah, Okla.; his mother, Harriet Saville; three sisters, Amy Otten and her son, Geoffrey Olsen, Alison Saville and her daughters, Sarah Kralovic, Amanda Kralovic and Bethany Kralovic, Barbara Ray and her husband, Richard and their children, Chelsea Ray, Kristen Evans and Cameron Ray.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Cooke-ville, Vt.
