PIERCE CITY, Mo. —
Veva Elizabeth Camerer Keplar, 81, Pierce City, Mo., entered into rest on June 24, 2013, at her home following a sudden illness.
She was born Dec. 27, 1931, in Cave Springs, Ark., to Oather and Onda (Jones) Beard.
Veva was a lifelong area resident and worked for East Newton School District. She retired from the school district in 1992. She was a member of Ritchey Baptist Church.
Veva married George W. Mayfield and he preceded her in death in 1990. She then married Rex Camerer and he preceded her in death in 2004. Her husband, George Keplar, preceded her in death in 2011.
She is survived by her children, Oather Mayfield, of Granby, Mo., Mark A. Mayfield, of Pierce City, and Guy B. Mayfield, of Pierce City; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Lee Beard, of Texas. Along with her parents and husbands, Veva is preceded in death by a son, David G. Mayfield; brother, Hollis Beard; and sister, Maxie David.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Granby Memorial Cemetery, Granby; Rev. Charles Leonard officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel, Granby.
