J.D. Jones

NEOSHO, MO —

J.D. Jones, 25, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nev., doing what he loved, saddle bronc riding.

J.D. was born on May 15, 1987, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to his parents, John Jones and Sharon Louise (Voss) Martineau. He attended Neosho schools where he graduated high school.

J.D. loved outdoors, everything from hunting and fishing to playing football and softball, however his passion was rodeo, especially saddle bronc riding and team roping. J.D. loved spending time with his family, his many friends and couldn't have been more proud of his son, Clancey.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Beulah Jones.

J.D. leaves many loving memories with his family, fiancé, McKenzie Nygren; his son, Clancey Jones; father, John Jones and wife, Jill; mother, Sharon Sam Martineau and husband, Mark; siblings, Amber Rash, Denton Jones, Wyatt Jones, Sierra Jones, Aaron Martineau, Travis Martineau and Stephanie Martineau; nephew, Mason Jones; grandparents, Pat and Richard Voss and Tom Jones; and future in-laws, Mark and Julie Nygren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Flying Cow Arena with Pastor Clint Sinclair officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Timmy Matthews, Kyle White, George Henry, Denton Jones, Marcus Van Dorn and Trevor Lewis. Honorary casket bearers will be Jesse Shrum, Wyatt Jones, Chris Stafford, Dusty Altman, Brock Nygren and Blake Nygren.

Memorial donations can be made to the J.D. Jones/Clancey Jones Memorial Fund in care of Grand Savings Bank, P.O. Box 451809, Grove, OK 74345-1809 or P.O. Box 690, Jay, OK 74346.

Services are entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, of Grove.
