CARTERVILLE, MO —
Shayla Nicole Alejandro, age 12, of Carterville, Mo., passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Cox South in Springfield, after a long illness.
Shayla was born Oct. 7, 2000, in Joplin, and was presently a 5th grade student at the Webb City middle school. She is the daughter of Mike and Erica Faul and a member of the Sheep Shed Church, south of Joplin.
In addition to her parents, Shayla is survived by a brother, Gage, of the home; and grandparents, Barbara Cochran, of Joplin, Peggy Allen, of Carthage, and Phyllis Parsell, of New York, N.Y.
As we all know, Shayla was a very bright little girl. She loved babies and helping others. Her most favorite things to do were arts and crafts, puzzles and video games. She was a very tough little girl who loved to help her mommy around the house, loved to cook and loved to learn. She loved all her family and friends with all her heart. Shayla loved life and lived her life to its fullest regardless of her disabilities. We love you Shayla very much and we will miss you.
Services for Shayla will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Sheep Shed Church, south of Joplin, with Pastor Mack Evans officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
