CARL JUNCTION, Mo. —
Susan Jane Long, age 73, Carl Junction, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital.
Susan was born Mar. 13, 1939, in Carthage, Mo., daughter of the late J. B. Montgomery and Sarah E. Whisler Montgomery. She graduated from Carthage High School, and worked several jobs throughout the years, and was most recently working for Randys Drive In of Carl Junction. She was of the Episcopalian Faith.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Montgomery; and a sister, Darlene Montgomery.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Long, whom she married Feb. 16, 1973; her children, Michael Moudy and wife, Cindy, of Carl Junction, Sonya Mills and husband, Jim, of Joplin, Debra Ogle and husband, Tyler, of Pittsburg, Kan., and Randy Long, of Joplin; grandchildren, April Underwood and husband, Jason, of Carl Junction, Adam Ogle, of Carl Junction, Kristen Mishmash and husband, Kyle, of Pittsburg, Christopher Moudy, Brittney Bull, and Vanessa Huff, all of Carl Junction; 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary following the service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Susan Long Memorial Fund c/o Parker Mortuary.
