CARROLLTON, VA —
Dr. David Earl Ryder, 71, passed away on Dec. 2, 2012.
He was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Ryder retired after 25 years of being a Doctor of Anesthesiology.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Billie Jayne Joyner.
Dr. Ryder leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 47 years, Jayne E. Ryder; his son, Corey Ryder and wife, Cassy; grandchildren, Kyle and Zachary Joyner and Catrelle Ryder; and a host of extended family and friends.
Life Celebration Services will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. before the service. Burial will be private.

Arrangements are in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, Va.
