CARTHAGE, Mo. —
Loyd Leroy Lambeth, 79, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at his home in Carthage, Mo.
Leroy was born June 20, 1934, in Sarcoxie, Mo., to Tom Lambeth and Lora (Whisner) Lambeth. Leroy was a longtime Jasper County resident. He worked as a plant manager for several years in the chemical and fertilizer field. Leroy owned and operated the Triple L Tavern for 15 years, managed Lambeth Conoco for several years and he was an auctioneer. Leroy loved growing and having a large garden and sharing his harvest of tomatoes and green beans with his family and friends. He loved his cattle and treated them like his children.
Leroy was united in marriage to Judy Black on Dec. 29, 1990, in Joplin. She survives.
Leroy is survived by one daughter, Donna Bryant and husband, Jerry, of Springfield; three sons, Danny Lambeth and wife, Mary Pat, of Carthage, Doug Lambeth and wife, Mary Ann, of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Dale Lambeth, of Panama City Beach, Fla.; one sister, Lillian Hornback and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Scott and wife, Heather Bryant, Stacy and husband, Cory Cardwell, Emma Lambeth, Allie Lambeth, Loyd Lambeth and Logan Lambeth; and two great-grandchildren, Ericka Bryant and Shelby Bryant. Leroy is preceded by his parents; one sister, Lucille Mullins; and three brothers, Nelson, Noel and Bill Lambeth.
Leroy lived his life as a servant and a friend for his wife, Judy, his children and his grandchildren, he was always interested in making sure all around him were well taken care of.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Fasken Cemetery.
