QUAPAW, Okla. —
Martha Jean Burggraf, of Quapaw, Okla., passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Okla. She was 85.
Mrs. Burggraf was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Quapaw, Okla., to Walter R. and Eva J. (Akins) Randall. She was a lifetime Quapaw resident and graduated from Quapaw High School in 1946. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Quapaw, the Quapaw Alumni Association and the Miami Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
She married J. C. Burggraf May 14, 1946, in Baxter Springs, Kan. and he preceded her in death Nov. 30, 2012.
Survivors include son, Randy Burggraf, of Wetumka, Okla.; daughter, Sandy Burggraf, of Tulsa, Okla.; adopted daughter, Donna Sunday, of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday July 9, at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Miami, Okla. Rev. Furan Jackson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jack Buttram, Jimmy Buttram, Jerry Buttram, Johnny Buttram, Gus Burggraf and Eric Burggraf. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Burggraf, Phillip Burggraf, Ryan Mullins, Larry Burggraf and Derek Hawkins. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.
