JOPLIN, Mo. —

Rhonda J. Carver, age 53, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Saturday May 26, 2012, at National Healthcare, following a short illness.

Rhonda was born on June 24, 1958, in Joplin, Mo., the daughter of the late John and Janet (Marchant) Kershaw. She has been a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker, and she worked as a manger for CarMart and two small coffee houses. She was a member of the Leawood Village Church of Christ. She enjoyed auctions, garage sales, playing scrabble and spending time with family.

She married Tony Carver on Jan. 3, 1993, in Miami, Okla., and he survives. Additional survivors include one daughter Terra Grimes, Joplin; her step-father, Ron Lester and his wife, Billie; one brother, Jason Lester and wife, Betty, Webb City, Mo.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Brian and Keith Kershaw.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fidelity Cemetery. Denny Carver and Aaron Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Mason-Woodard.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rhonda Carver Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
