JOPLIN, Mo. —
Geraldine M. "Jerri" Marvin, age 70, Joplin, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital.
Jerri was born Feb. 22, 1943, in Joplin, to the late Donald Graham and Lelia M. Okerson Graham and had lived in Joplin all of her life.
She worked at the former Wright's Dry Cleaners and Kennedy's Dry Cleaners for several years. She was an over the road truck driver for Tri-State Motor Transit for several years and worked at Trucker's Inn at Petro Truck Stop for several years as well. She enjoyed a good game of Bingo but had a love for KENO !
Jerri is survived by two sons, Chris Coats and his wife, Darlene and Don Coats and his wife, Tammie, all of Joplin; a daughter, Shanon Ritter, Joplin; five grandchildren, Johnny Coats and his wife, Rachel, Dawn Coats-Sasser and her husband, Tom, Tabitha Owens, Jennifer Owens and Samantha Ritter; seven great-grandchildren, Caden Sasser, Makinze Sasser, Brendan Belden, Leighton Coats, Johnny Coats Jr., Camron Owens and Calli Hutchinson; and several other extended family members.
Services are planned for Friday at 3 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Travis Walthall will officiate. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Paul Kropp, Sean Seward, Mark Cleaveland, Wayne Logsdon, Roger Housh, Paul England and Aaron Brown.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
