WEBB CITY, Mo. —
Mary Lou Webb, age 85, of Webb City, Mo., passed away at 12:47 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, following a six year illness.
Mary Lou was born Dec. 6, 1927, in Carl Junction, Mo., and had lived in Webb City most of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of Webb City High School. She was employed with Eagle Picher Industries in Joplin, for 25 years, retiring in 1991. Mary Lou was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Webb City.
Mary Lou married Jack Earl Webb March 5, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Benjamin and husband, David, Olathe, Kan., and Debbie Lounis and husband, Tinker, Carthage, Mo.; two granddaughters, Dawn Hanley, Edgerton, Kan., and Latoyia Robertson and husband, Mikey, Oronogo, Mo.; and one great-grandson, Jake Hanley.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Woody officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday with visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society.
