JOPLIN, Mo. —
Margot Lavon Lee, 87, entered into rest on April 3, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital Joplin, Mo., following a brief illness.
She was born March 16, 1926, in Joplin, to Dr. Miller Coombs and Iona S. Coombs.
Margot was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She also enjoyed golfing and fishing and was a member of the Fortnightly Study Club in Joplin, and Delta Gamma Sorority; PEO in Joplin. Margot was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Joplin.
Margot married Bill B. Lee on Dec. 22, 1946, in Joplin. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1999.
She is also preceded in death by one brother, Art Coombs.
She is survived by her four sons, Bill Lee and wife, Shary, of Carthage, Mo., Robert "Bo" Lee and wife, Linda, of Joplin, Tim Lee and wife, Diana, of Tulsa, Okla., and Gregg Lee and wife, Kathy, of Neosho, Mo.; sister, Shirley Ramsour, of Joplin; sister-in-law, Dorothy Coombs, of Carthage; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories Neosho; Pastor Mark Statler officiating. The casket will be closed at service time to remain. Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery, Neosho. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Clark Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Margot may be made to Bright Futures or Crowder College Foundation Scholarship Fund in care of Clark Funeral Home P.O. Box 66 Neosho, MO 64850.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
