ORONOGO, Mo. —
Jerry F. Creech, age 75, of Oronogo, Mo., passed away 11:49 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2013, at his home.
He was born on March 3, 1938, in Denver, Colo., to Carl F. Creech and Mildred Radley Creech. Mr. Creech worked at Roper's Pontiac in Joplin, for many years. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Creech was a member of the Mineral Lodge No. 471 of Oronogo.
He was married to Rita G. Creech, who passed Sept. 17, 2010.
Survivors include his son, Travis (Pat) Creech, of Fort Worth; foster daughter, Mel Crossley (Vince), of Sylmar, Calif.; brother-in-law, Ray Lawrence, of Joplin; nieces, Terry Burke (Dave), of Quapaw, and Carla Slaughter, of Goodman; a nephew, Bob Lawrence, of Fort Scott; a French foreign exchange daughter, Laurence Delatour; a faithful four legged companion, Joe Gibbs. He had a host of friends. Special friends are Randy and Charlene Roper, Joe and Laura Kingry, Bruce and Claudia Waggoner, Jim and Cheryl Haines and a cousin, Margaret DeWeese and family.
Jerry's wishes were to be cremated and memorial services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Simpson Funeral Home, of Webb City.
