GALENA, KS —
Bobbie Lucille Wade entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 15, 2013, at Maude-Norton Hospital in Columbus, Kan.
She was born in Galena, Kan., on April 1, 1921, to Harry and Minnie Marie (Fogler) Wright.
On May 18, 1940, Bobbie married Neal Wade. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1992.
She had lived in Galena all of her life and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Galena, where she participated in the Women's Missionary Association (WMA) and her Sunday School class. Her and Neal enjoyed traveling very much and made it to all 50 states.
Others that went on before her include her husband and one sister, Lorene Swan.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Wade (wife, Lola), of Galena, and Philip Wade (wife, Stacey), of Ennis, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Porter (husband, Eugene), of Galena, and Rita Bryan (husband, Jim), of Jefferson City, Mo.; as well as nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Bobbie will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at First Baptist Church, of Galena. Visitation hours will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Galena.
Arrangements are under the care of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.
The family expresses gratitude to St. Johns Hospice for the wonderful care and support and a special thanks to Bobbies friend and caregiver, Grace Ann Martin.
