WEBB CITY, Mo. —
Caridyne Ernest Richardson, age 72, Webb City, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital after a sudden illness.
Caridyne was born June 10, 1940, in Yosemite, Ky., to the late Raymond Richardson and Agnes Ross Richardson and had lived in the Joplin area since 1988.
He had worked for many years as an over the road truck driver. He even drove as a team with his wife, Nancy. He also worked at Joplin Pipe and Steel, and was currently employed by the Webb City Wal-Mart as a cart pusher. Caridyne volunteered with the Joplin United Way and was a member of Rocketdyne Church of Christ, Neosho. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
He married Nancy Parker on March 24, 1980, in Pittsburg, Kan. She survives.
Additional survivors include his children, Alice Richardson, Joplin, Russell Richardson and his wife, Olive, Hamlin, Kan., Lora Ann Richardson, Pittsburg, Kan., Lisa Gouvian and her husband, Ralph, Pittsburg, Amy Murray, Pittsburg, Dee Wilcox, Joplin; sister, Judy Fulford, Muscle Shoals, Alaba.; two nieces, Sara Fulford, Sheffield, Ala., Mary Bowling and her husband, Ben, Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Sid Fulford, Sheffeild, Ala.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; in laws, Larry and Carol Parker, Freeman, Mo., Barbara Parker, Overland Park, Kan.; nieces and nephews and other extended family members. In addition to his parents, Caridyne was preceded in death by his great uncle/step father, Roscoe "Boss" Richardson; and his namesake, Ernest "Pa" Ross.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Michael Lum will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Ryan, Randy Kraft, Ron Turner, Dave Warden, Steve Garman and Jim Pyron. Honorary Pallbearers will be Denny Kruse, Bob Paschall, John Boehning, Joe Hensley and Joel Hamilton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary.
