Doris Fabian Love

JOPLIN, MO —

Doris Fabian Love, 88, formerly of Joplin, passed from this life on Dec. 22, 2012, in Summerfield, Fla.

Born in Sperry, Okla., she was a daughter of the late Roy Moss and Minta Buttram Moss and the stepdaughter of the late Janie Smothers Moss, of Jenks, Okla.

After relocating to Tiverton, R.I. in 1971, she continued her career as a nursing assistant at Truesdale and Charlton Memorial Hospitals before retiring in the late 1980s.

She and her late husband, Gene, loved to travel and follow NASCAR racing, making many friends along the way.

During the last few years, Doris enthusiastically took up gold prospecting and was a member of the Lost Dutchman Mining Association in Georgia.
