JOPLIN, MO —
SuAn G. Richardson, age 76, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at her residence.
SuAn was born Jan. 25, 1937, in Joplin, and had lived in Joplin most of her life. SuAn was employed as the switchboard operator for Missouri Southern State University, where she had worked for 40 years. She was a member of the College View Baptist Church and volunteered at American Rehabilitation Ministry.
SuAn was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lorene Richardson; a son, Randy Doran; and an infant grandson.
Survivors include a cousin, Kathy Martinez, Joplin; close friends, Donna Wallace and Barbara Jean Spencer, both of Carthage; and a host of other friends
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin with Pastor J.R. Slater officiating. The casket will be closed at all times.
Memorial contributions are requested to American Rehabilitation Ministry or the Carthage Humane Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary, of Joplin.
