Anjalesa Amos Lampert

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —

Anjalesa Jannette Amos Lampert, 31, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Feb. 18, 2013, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, from Acute Leukemia. Anjalesa was an amazing light in this world, sharing love and joy with many.

Born in Joplin, Mo., Anjalesa graduated from Troy High School and attended Misssouri Southern State University. She was employed by Wyndham Vacation Properties in customer service.

The great pleasure of knowing Anjalesa was in the way she embraced everything with great passion. She grew up loving the outdoors and living on the river. She loved helping her parents with their bee farm. She sewed beautifully and designed many of the costumes she wore with flare at Renaissance Fairs and Sci-Fi Conventions like VisionCon and WhiteHart.

On May 28, 2012, Anjalesa wed the love of her life, Ray, a local attorney and together they made an amazing couple. Although their life together was much too short, the love they shared will long endure.

Anjalesa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elvin and Neva Staggs, of Webb City, Mo.; and her grandmother, Rhonda Amos, of Little Rock, Ark.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Lampert; her parents, Jann and Resa Amos, of Webb City; her grandparents, Jack and Delores Amos, of Joplin; and her in-laws, Ben and Lori Lampert, of Springfield. She is also survived by a large extended family and many friends who will grieve for her.

A celebration of life service will be Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at Schweitzer United Methodist Church, 2747 East Sunshine in Springfield. Visitation will be at the church at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City at 3 p.m.

Donations in Anjalesa's memory are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society of SW Missouri or the Joplin Humane Society.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the 3E ICU Staff at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, and the nurses at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, who cared for Anjalesa.

The service is under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
