CARTHAGE, MO —
Richard Logsdon, 82, of Carthage, Mo., passed away at 4:25 a.m. on June 22, 2011, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center.
Richard was born on Jan. 29, 1929. He was the son of Raymond Logsdon and Stella Weeks Logsdon.
Richard married Doris Treat on Nov. 10, 1945, in Columbus, Kan. She Survives.
Other survivors include one son, Richard Logsdon and wife, Jeanette McKenzie, of Kanab, Utah; one daughter, Jana Duncan and husband, Mark, of Carthage; one granddaughter, Erin Logsdon and husband, R.J. Bartsch; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; three brothers, Neil, Nelson and Donald Logsdon; and two sisters, Nora Alshire and Betty Williams.
Richard was a contractor and a well-known artist. He had a great love for oil paintings, photography and Vermont, New England and the sea.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at the 1st United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Park Cemetery.
