JOPLIN, Mo. —
Shirley Ann Raridon, age 78, Joplin, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital.
Shirley was born July 25, 1934, in Colfax, Iowa, to the late Joseph Kvasny and Josephine Elizabeth Mudra Kvasny and had lived in the Joplin area since 2002, moving from Dawsonville, Ga.
She worked in computer programming most of her working life in Reno, Nev. and Dawsonville, Ga. She also helped medical patients and veterans file for benefits that were unable to do so on their own. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Raridon; a daughter, Sylvia Beck; and two brothers, Frank Kvasny and Leland Kvasny.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Cable and husband, Brian, of Carl Junction, Mo.; sister-in-law, Margaret Kvasny, of Connersville, Ind.; granddaughters, Echo Mills, of Carl Junction, and Kayla Salitrero, of Reno; great-grandsons, Gavin Mills and Bodie Mills, both of Carl Junction, and Jayden Salitrero, of Reno; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are planned for Saturday, March 16, at 1 p.m. at Union Cemetery, Newton, Iowa. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate.
