JOPLIN, MO —
Willa Jane "Janie" Youngblood Sharp, age 56, Joplin, lost her battle to cancer after six long years. She went to be with God and her parents.
Janie was born Sept. 19, 1957, in Boise, Idaho, to the late Carl Lane and Beulah Armitage Lane and had lived in the Joplin area all of her life.
She worked as a beautician and owned and operated Glamourama Beauty Shop and Day Spa in Webb City, for several years. She loved people and loved Harley's.
Janie is survived by her daughter, Kelly Youngblood and her partner, Melissa King, Joplin; her grandchildren, who she raised like her own, Devin Peavler and Madison Peavler; her companion, Jason Garrett, Joplin; best friends, Pam Giger and Sandi Riggle, both of Joplin; and her dog, Woody.
A visitation is planned for Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Janie will be taken for cremation following the visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
