BAXTER SPRINGS, KS —
Jordan Micheal Krokroskia, 22, passed from this life suddenly at his home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.
Jordan was born Oct. 10, 1989, in Joplin, Mo., to James Alan and Stacy Lynn (York) Krokroskia. Jordan grew up in Baxter Springs playing sports and graduating with the class of 2008. He was currently attending Missouri Southern State University.
Jordan was a friend to everyone; he loved spending time with his friends and his family. He participated in every sport and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Jordan was a member of Celebrate Recovery Program in Joplin, and a member of the Joplin Brotherhood (MMA Club). He was a member of the Crossroads Christian Church. Jordan had always been a man of faith, but within the last six months his faith and walk with Jesus Christ had grown to a level it had never been before.
Jordan is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Krokroskia.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Stacy Krokroskia, of the home; three siblings, Colton, Braydon and Kennedy Krokroskia, of the home; grandparents, Shiang Lien Krokroskia and companion, Terry Sills, Debbie Stewart and husband, Keith and Bill York; uncle, Billy York Jr.; and cousin, Logan York; along with great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at the Baxter Springs High School. Pastor Tracy Rowe will officiate. Burial will follow in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, family ask for memorial donations to be made in care of the funeral home.
