COCOA BEACH, Fla. —
Patricia Marie Bolm was called home to be with her Lord on March 22, 2013, at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 22 days. She closed her eyes and departed peacefully from her earthly home. She was known as "Pat" to her family and friends.
Pat was born on April 8, 1939, the daughter of the late Walter and Ella Kersten.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Glenn; her three sons, Carl, of St. Louis, Mo., Kyle, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Van, of Joplin, Mo. Also surviving is brother, Dwayne Kersten and sister-in-law, Celeste, of Warrenton; brother-in-law, Ralph and wife, Helen, of Washington, Mo.; along with several nieces and nephews. In her extended illness, she was lovingly cared for by her eldest son, Carl and his fiancé, Gabriella Tertulien.
Pat attended Warrenton High School, graduating in 1957, and lived in the Warrenton and Joplin area for many years. Pat had intense accounting skills. She utilized those skills in job positions throughout the years. Pat's professional career began with H&R Block Tax Service. Throughout the years, she worked as an executive secretary and in various accounting roles where she was known for her impeccable skills she owned and operated B&D Income Tax in Wentzville, also worked for Devaras Developments. Other professional positions included executive secretary and accounting, Western Realty of Wright City, and the last one before her well deserved retirement was being manager of the Petro Truck Stop in Joplin.
Her favorite fun time to relax was playing Bingo. She loved it when she could call out "Bingo". She had a wonderful zest for life. Upon retirement she and her husband moved to Cocoa Beach. Pat enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying and occasional cruise. She simply emanated happiness and possessed a zest for life that was omnipresent and positively contagious
She was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. A special smile would appear when thinking of those that she cared so deeply for. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
At her request, Pat's body was cremated. Her ashes were sprinkled throughout the ocean where her spirit will float forever in eternity.
