JOPLIN, Mo. —
Raymond Glenn Fohey, age 85, of Joplin, Mo., passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, following an illness.
He was born Oct. 4, 1928 in Edmen, Mo., to Vernie and Francis Rowena Wood Fohey.
He served during World War II with the Marines. He was the owner and operator of G & B Floor Covering and attended Christ Community United Methodist Church.
Raymond married Barbara Stevenson on Nov. 26, 1969 in Vinita, Okla. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Tim Fohey and wife, Karri, Joplin, and Cliff Fohey and wife, Trisha, Joplin; one stepson, Stan Coble, Webb City, Mo.; six daughters, Glenda Coe and husband, Kevin, state of Oklahoma, Caroline Brand, Lamar, Mo., Kim Fry, Joplin, Charity Goode, Joplin, Kali Ward and husband, Andy, Joplin, and Kami Daggett and husband, Chris, Carl Junction, Mo.; 20+ grandchildren; 20+ great-grandchildren; one brother, Jay Fohey, Palmar, Mo.; and two sisters, Virginia McCroy, Quincy, Ill., and Dorthoy Frohm, Springfield, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Fohey; and two sisters, Laverne Borden, and Delores McHole.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary chapel with Pastor Bob Dart officiating. Burial will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.
