GROVE, Okla. —

Mrs. Frances M. (Lynch) Overton, 87, of Grove, Okla., departed this life on Saturday morning, March 2, 2013, at 4:45 a.m. at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Mo., after a long illness.

Frances entered this life on March 11, 1925, in Purula, Okla., one of 11 children born to the late Ernie and Clara Christine (Carroll) Lynch. Throughout her live she was a hardworking and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as seamstress and enjoyed dancing, camping, cooking, country music and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mack W. Overton; two children: daughter, Mary Jane Williamson and son, Eugene Overton; six sisters, Virginia Owens, Jackie Rohman, Mable Stewart, Betty Klutts, Billy Rich and Alice Griggs; and two brothers, Charlie Lynch and Johnny Lee Lynch.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth A. Cornett and wife, Wanda; two sisters, Peggy Hull and husband, LouDon and Rosie Brown and husband, Bud; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, at 11 a.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home in Sperry, Okla. Phil Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest in Resthaven Cemetery following the service.
