CARL JUNCTION, MO —
Michael C. Bruning, age 57, of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away late Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
Michael was born on Feb. 5, 1955, in Lodi, Calif., the son of Donald Bruning and Elsie (Beck) Buck. He proudly served his country as part of the U.S. Navy. Following his service, Michael worked as a manager of a formal wear company.
He is preceded in death by his father; his brother, Jay Bruning; his paternal grandparents, Otto and Gladys Bruning; maternal grandparents, George Beck and Rosemary Whitehorn; and aunts, Lois Walker and Lila Parrish.
Michael is survived by his mother, Elsie; his sister, Mona; friend, David Bishop; his aunts, Marian Robbins, Rosemary Beldon, DeLoris Volk, Peggy Winter and Carolyn Carnes; and numerous cousins.
Michael is to be cremated; the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, Sept. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
