CARTHAGE, Mo. —
Jerry Lee Theil, 62, of Carthage passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his home.
Jerry was born June 7, 1950, in Fort Collins, Colo. He was the son of Donald Theil and Barbara LaRue Theil. Jerry had been a resident of Jasper County area since 1977. He graduated from Rolla, Mo., class of 1968 and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Jerry was co-owner of PAR, INC of Jasper and currently co-owner of Precision Mastermade Paints of Joplin. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge, both of Lamar, V.F.W. Mens Auxiliary Post 2590, of Carthage, Brotherhood Bikers Club and the First United Methodist Church of Jasper.
Survivors include two sons, Ryan Theil and Kate, of Godfrey, Ill.; and Kyle Theil and Ashley, of Godfrey, Ill.; his mother, Barbara Theil, of Carthage; one brother, Steve and Julie Theil, of Jasper; six grandchildren, Addison, Austin, Devon, Dylan, Benjamin and Cory; one niece, Allison Thomas and husband, Wes, of Junction City, Kan.; one nephew, Matthew Theil, of Jasper; and a great niece, Callie Thomas. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Donald Theil in 1992.
Memorial Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in Oak Hill Cemetery.
