CARTHAGE, MO — Frank Guinn, 73, left for his heavenly home on June 28, 2010. He was born on Nov. 24, 1936, in Avilla, Mo. Frank was the son of Almon Guinn and Alice (Cole) Guinn. He retired from Dyno Nobel in 1999, as a machinist. Frank was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Vintage Dirt Track Racers Association and loved to work on and race bikes. He placed 2nd in the VDTRA National Championship in 1997. Frank married Jeanene Tuter in May of 1977, in Miami, Okla. She survives. Additional survivors include three sons, Frank Guinn Jr., and wife, JoAnna, of Carthage, Bill Guinn and wife, Sherri, of Carthage, and Jayme Guinn, of Springfield, Mo.; three daughters, Sue Bledsoe and husband, Tim, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Elizabeth Guinn, of Carthage, and Tara Baugh and husband, Aaron, of Garden City, Mo.; four brothers, Max Guinn, Joe Guinn and Jerry Guinn, all of Carthage, and Phillip Guinn, of Springfield; two sisters, Elsie Pittman, of Maud, Texas, and Charlotte Platt, of Pittsburg, Kan.; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Other survivors are three stepchildren, Allen Davis and wife, Mona, of Branson, Mo., Gina Madore and husband, Lou, of Parsons, Kan., and Tamra Davis, of Ozark, Mo.; and 10 step grandchildren; and his good buddy, Nels Carlson, of Springfield. Frank is preceded in death by one sister, Leota Christofferson; and his parents. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Body will then be taken for cremation. Contributions may be made to the Christian Motorcycle Association in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
