Marvin E. McKee, age 79, Oronogo, Mo. passed away Friday, June 14, following a sudden illness.
Marvin was born March 12, 1934, in Oronogo, Mo., to Clarence and Sylivia Smith McKee.
He was employed by the Atlas Powder Company and retired in 1994.
Marvin married Wanda Ivy on May 17, 1952, in Bentonville, Ark. and she survives. He is also survived by three daughters, Viola Poko Houck and husband, John, Jay, Okla., Connie Starchman and husband, Dean, Webb City, Mo., Pamela Frossard and husband, Robert, Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Sandra Adams and husband, John, Oronogo, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Bonnie Bruce.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Joe Dan Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hedge-Lewis chapel.
