NEOSHO, Mo. —
Marianna Blankenship, 78, Neosho, entered into rest on June 20, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, following an illness.
Mrs. Blankenship was born Nov. 16, 1934, near Goodman, Mo., the daughter of Loren and Edith (Roller) Dabbs.
She was a lifelong area resident and was a teacher at the Diamond Public Schools and at Crowder College and later was a private caregiver for elderly and disabled persons. Marianna attended the Abundant Life Church in Neosho.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Blankenship and wife, Cindy, Neosho, and Alan Blankenship and wife, Dee Ann, Galena, Mo.; three grandchildren, Derick Blankenship and wife, Amanda, Ashley Blankenship and Brian Blankenship; one great-grandchild, Sienna Blankenship; two brothers, Dr. Wilbur Dabbs, Neosho, and Eugene Dabbs, Diamond; and two sisters, Nadine Keith, Seneca, and Donnis Luck, Neosho. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Troy Dabbs and a sister, Wilma Gilmore.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories; David Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Powers Cemetery, east of Diamond, and serving as pallbearers will be Derick Blankenship, Ashley Blankenship, Brian Blankenship, Stanley Keith, Steven Keith and Kevin Keith. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 24, and with visitation being held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening.
