JOPLIN, Mo. —
Irena Faye Hughlett, age 86, Joplin, passed away at 1p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Spring River Christian Village following an illness.
Faye was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Neosho, to the late James Robert Jackson and Edith Johnson Jackson and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life. Faye worked as a floral arranger for Intercity Florist for many years. She was a faithful member of Full Gospel Church, Joplin.
Faye was preceded in death by her first husband, John Fields.
She married William E. Hughlett and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1990.
She is survived by a brother, Eddie Joe Jackson, seven Lakes, N.C.; six step-children; and a niece, Lisa Looper, Wichita, Kan.
Services are planned for Thursday at 10 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Pastors John Myers and Paul Dilts will officiate. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to Charlottes Angels Home Care, or to Full Gospel Church, both in care of Parker Mortuary.
