DIAMOND, Mo. —
Judy Packer, age 66, of Diamond, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, in Granby, Colo., from injuries sustained in a horse riding accident.
Judy was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Joplin, Mo., and had lived in the Joplin-Diamond area most of her life. She was retired from Cardinal Scale in Webb City, and also assisted her husband in farming. Judy was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, East Joplin Congregation.
Survivors include her husband, David Packer, Diamond; two sons, Myles Hunt and wife, Nickie, Tulsa, Okla., and Darrell Packer, Joplin; five daughters, Tammy Beerly and husband, Donny, Joplin, Sheri Haile and husband, Brent, Blairstown, Mo., Lorra Burrow and husband, Wade, Sarcoxie, Mo., Jammie Ramsey and Susan Packer, both of Diamond; her mother, Kathy Holt, Webb City, Mo.; one brother, Louis Holt and wife, Brenda, Mount Vernon, Mo.; two sisters, Tommy Sue Mercer and husband, Mike, Webb City, and Barbara Hatfield, Carl Junction, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Ray, Dusty and Scott Beerly, Mason Moore, Brooke and Dillon Burrow, Kyler and Paris Horner, Madi Combs, Remi Ramsey and Abby Packer; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2500 County Lane 203, Joplin, with Wayne Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Carthage, Mo., at a later date.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary, of Joplin.
