JOPLIN, Mo. —

Dolly Frances Coy Benigar, age 80, Joplin, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at her home with family at her side.

Dolly was born Feb. 27, 1932, in Neosho, Mo., daughter of the late Walter Byrd and Mary Boyd Hayworth.  She attended school in the Sweetwater/Boulder City areas and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother all her adult life.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Coy; a son, Donnie Coy; two grandsons; six brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her husband, Bob J. Benigar; a son, Mike Coy and wife, Julie, of Kansas City, Mo.; daughters, Sharon Park and husband, Roy, of Fairland, Okla., Karen Glindo, Diana Coy, and Lori Cleaver all, of Joplin; brother, Bud Byrd, of Kansas City; sisters, Violet Langdon and husband, John, of Oskaloosa, Kan., and Fay McCreary and husband, Emmett, of Webb City; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Phil Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Hazel Green Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m.
