JOPLIN, MO —
Ryan Leon Ogle, age 33, of Joplin, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at home, following a sudden illness.
Ryan was born Nov. 13, 1979, in Webb City, and remained in the Webb City/Carterville area all his life. He worked at Kaleb Dry Wall. He was a member of the Central Christian Center. Ryan loved and participated in all sports. His love and passion for sports started with youth basketball, baseball and football, where he continued playing them in high school. He played and celebrated with his baseball team that went to state in 1997. He was a 1998 Webb City graduate. Ryan also enjoyed deer hunting with his family and friends.
Ryan loved his family and he had a big and wonderful heart for them. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Leisa Reynolds and husband, Dalton, of Galena; a brother, Cecil Ogle, of Carterville; a son, Brenyn Suber, of Oronogo; grandfather, Dr. Robert Willis, of Carterville; fiance, Brandi Marts, of Joplin; and many aunts and uncles and cousins too numerous to mention. Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Willis; cousin, Justin Willis; and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Reynolds.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City, with Pastor Phillip Stotts officiating. Burial will follow in the Carterville Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Josh Willis, Cecil Ogle, Chris Knight, Randy Randolph, Anthony Sargent, Phil Stotts, Bud Owens and Jack Owens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Rusty and Glenda Willis in Carterville.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, contributions are preferred to The Road Recovery Center in Webb City.
