WEBB CITY, MO —

Paul H. Poulson, of Webb City, Mo., passed away Sunday, Feb. 10th, 2013, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mount Vernon from complications of Alzheimer's. He had resided there since October 2012.

Paul was born on April 10, 1937, in Detroit, Mich., to Paul S. and Annie Poulson, both deceased. When Paul was 7 the family moved to Lebanon, Mo., where he graduated from high school in 1955.

He graduated from Southwest Missouri college to the U.S. Air Force where he served from 1959 to 1963, spending three years in France. After his discharge from the Air Force he was employed with Vickers in 1963, as a manufacturing engineer. He was with Vickers in Joplin until his retirement in 1992, all except the last five years that he was with Vickers in Omaha, Neb. After his retirement he returned to Webb City.

Paul married Vi Williams on Feb. 12, 1977. She survives at the home.

Also surviving are three daughters, Christi and Larry Brockway, Rogers, Ark., Cathi Evans, Oronogo, Mo., and Cari and John Long, of Webb City. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. They are: Christopher Brown, Reston, Va., Joe Brockway, Bentonville, Ark., Kaylee Long and fiancée, Joe Dorsey, Joplin, Brooke Evans and fiancée, Donny Martin, Webb City, Baylee Evans and Breanna Dobbins, of Oronogo, Josh Long, Joplin, and SuEllen and Nick Ruvalcaba, North Dakota; and seven great-grandchildren, Tanner, Noah, Hannah, Carter, Ace, Roxy and Layla. Also surviving is a sister, Diane and John Coats, of Bucyrus, Mo.; and five nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Elwood Poulson, Michigan, on Feb. 7, 2013.

Paul was of the Methodist faith. He spent many hours in his workshop making furniture, toy boxes, rocking horses or just helping the grandkids pound nails. He also took many bike rides with the grandkids.

Services will be held at Parker's Chapel, Thursday, Feb. 14th, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Oronogo Cemetery with Military Honors. The pallbearers will be Christopher Brown, Greg Howard, Charles Tunnell, Donny Martin, Joshua Long and Ronald Tunnell. The honorary pallbearers will be Larry Brockway, Steve Howard and John Long. The visitation will be held at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m.

He was the greatest husband, father and Peepaw in the whole world. Peepaw, you are forever in our hearts. We love and miss you and will see you again someday.
