WEBB CITY, Mo. —
Donna C. Lauderdale, 75, of Webb City, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Freeman Hospital, following an illness.
Donna was born on April 24, 1937, in Portland, Ore., the daughter of the late Ernest and Iva (Mahurin) Cunningham.
She married Everett Raymond Lauderdale on Oct. 22, 1954, in Monett, Mo.
She received an Associate's degree in Management from Longview Community College in Lee's Summit, Mo. She worked for Avon headquarters in Mundelein, Ill. Upon retiring from Avon, she moved to Joplin, where she worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer for 14 years. She volunteered for Vita tax service for two years and for Crosslines for several years. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served as her Sunday school president.
She is survived by one daughter, Jackie West, Webb City; four sons, Everett Lauderdale, Jimmy Lauderdale, Tommy Lauderdale, all of Neosho, and Terry Lauderdale, Webb City; three sisters, Darlene Bibens, Osawatomie, Kan., Wanda Romprey and Carolyn Smith, both of Webb City; a sister-in-law, Anita Cunningham; 28 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Raymond Lauderdale in 2004; a son, Robert Lauderdale in 2004; and two brothers, Jim and Gene Cunningham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Rev. Kyle Beverlin and Rev. Leon Hendrix will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church prior to service time.
Memorial contributions may be given to Emmanuel Baptist Church or Crosslines in care of the mortuary.
