NEOSHO, Mo. —
Raymond Leon Daugherty, 83, Neosho, Mo., entered into rest on May 4, 2013, at Freeman Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 19, 1930, in Neosho, Mo., to John Thompson and Amanda Jane (Norris) Daugherty.
Raymond was a lifelong area resident and worked as a supervisor at Sunbeam in Neosho for 25 years before retiring in 1993. He served our country in the National Guard and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan; as long as they were winning.
Raymond married Leona Harris on Sept. 4, 1954, in Neosho. She survives.
He is also survived by his children, Richard Leon Daugherty and wife, Kim, of Mount Vernon, Mo., Rayma Lee Hinz and husband, Kyle, of Neosho, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Brian Daugherty and wife, Jody, Karen Daugherty, Brandon Casey and wife, Kati, Josh Casey, Kyla Hinz, Layne Hinz and Caleb Hinz; and 10 great-grandchildren, Makayla Daugherty, Taryn Casey, Blake Casey, Brayden Casey, Riley Casey, Alexis Crawford, James Crawford, Jake Crawford, John Crawford and Tanner Tyler Heath Casey. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Tyler Casey.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Oakwood Cemetery, Neosho, Pastor David Cox officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at Clark Funeral Home Neosho.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
