Betty Burrington Fisher

Like a ripple in a pond the waves reach into the lives of the ones that loved her.

Born in Texas, she had that soft southern voice, she was a gentle soul and a Christian lady, she raised three girls in the church and those roots run deep.

She was at home with her granddaughter and great-grandson, who cared for her, when the tornado hit, they survived. She died in the house she and dad built over 55 years ago. She had Betty's Beauty Shop there for  many years.

She lost her first husband, Roy Burrington in November 1975. She married James Fisher in October 1977. He died in December 2010.

She was active in 4H with her children. She was a member of Blendville Christian Church and her faith sustained her during many life challenges.

She and Jim belonged to a square dance club and she enjoyed sewing all of their square dance clothing. She and Jim volunteered at St. John's.

Mom's health had declined over the past two years, she had lost her sight and was pretty much house bound. She would want us to extend our heartfelt sorrow to all who have lost a loved one. May the Lord help you through this difficult time. We have turned our sorrow over to the Lord knowing she is with him.

She was blind, but now she can see, she was bedridden, but now she can dance again. She is with the loved ones who have gone before, we will always miss her.

We were so fortunate to have her as a mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, in-law, mentor, neighbor and friend.
