JOPLIN, Mo. —
Kathleen Whaley Greninger, age 77, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on May 14, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathleen was born April 20, 1936, in Stotts City, Mo., to the late Paul and Golda Jackson Whaley. A graduate of Joplin High School, she married Harry Al Greninger in June of 1954. She worked for Massa Distributing Company and was a loyal volunteer for the Missouri Baptist Children's Home. While a current member of First Baptist Church of Webb City, she was a long time member of Empire Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Al Greninger; her children, Jan Greninger, Pam Melton and husband, Kevin, Paula Greninger and Mike Greninger and his wife, Sherry; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma Ebert. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Shumaker.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Webb City Family Life Center. Private graveside services will be held Friday morning at Union Cemetery, Stotts City. A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Webb City. Rev. Bob Easton and Rev. John Sherwood will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home in care of Parker Mortuary.
