JOPLIN, Mo. —
Virgil Leon Clevenger, age 50, Joplin, passed away at 4:46 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at his residence after a sudden illness.
Virgil was born Nov. 21, 1962, in Woodland, Calif., to Virgil Clevenger and the late Shirley Williams Clevenger. He had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
He worked on the railroad for many years and retired as a supervisor at Hudson Foods.
Virgil is survived by two daughters, Kim Ulloa, Galena, Kan., and Jennifer Clevenger, Plano, Texas; his father, Virgil Clevenger, Grove, Okla.; one brother, Max Clevenger Sr.; one sister, Terrie Clevenger, St. Joseph, Mo.; grandchildren, Josalynn Rhoads, Carthage, and Heaven Ulloa, Galena; and nieces and nephews, Augusta Clevenger and Max Clevenger Jr.
Virgil has been taken for cremation. No formal services are planned.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
