CARL JUNCTION, Mo. —
Karen Lee Vigil, age 69, of Carl Junction, Mo., a wonderful wife and mother, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Freeman Hospital.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who devoted much of her time to her family. She was well known for her Black Magic Cake. Her 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren knew her as "Nani".
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Modesto M. Vigil; her son, Randal L. Vigil and wife, Carol, of Los Alamitos, Calif., daughters, Desarae Loya and husband, Oscar, of Carl Junction, Dalain Squyres and husband, Thomas, Montclair, Calif., and Darlene Limon and husband, Lazaro, Los Alamitos.
The body will be cremated. Private interment will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, at a later date.
