WEBB CITY, Mo. —
Lynn A. Pickett, age 88, Webb City, Mo., passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Mercy Hospital.
Lynn was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Alicia, Ark., son of the late James Lynn Pickett and Ruth Alice Clark Pickett. He served in the United States Navy as an aviation electrician. He continued to work as an aviation electrician until his retirement.
He married Elva L. Luther on July 10, 1943. She preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 2007.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Lynn McLain.
Survivors include a son, Michael Pickett and wife, Sandra, of Pleasanton, Calif.; a daughter, Brenda Abshier and husband, Larry, of Webb City; sisters, Geneva Taylor, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Ann Mathis, of Marshfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Joshua and wife, Holly, Amy and husband, Ron, Lindsey and husband, Brent and Cassie; great-grandchildren, Zac, Chrissy, Matthew, Travis, David, Madee, Gabe, Asher, Austin and Sam.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. in Mount Hope Cemetery Open Air Chapel with Josh Abshier officiating and full military honors.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
