Mylinda Leah Ledford


Mylinda Leah Ledford, age 62, of Joplin, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, at her home, following an illness.

Mylinda was born on Nov. 24, 1950, in Magnolia, Miss., the daughter of Curtis and Joyce (Dickerson) Renfroe.

She married Frank Ledford on Oct. 11, 1970, in Big Sandy, Texas.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Ledford Construction Company. She later operated Adventureland Childcare from 1999 to 2005, and also worked for Freeman Health Essentials from 2005 to 2007. She attended Carterville Christian Church and was associated with Calvary Baptist and Community Fellowship in Carterville, Mo.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Frank Ledford, Joplin; three sons, James Ledford and wife, Susan, Lance Ledford and wife, Jacque and Travis Ledford and wife, Jalyn, all of Joplin; two daughters, Glenna Ledford and fiancé, David Clevenger and Frankie Weibel and husband, Ben, both of Joplin; her father, Curtis Renfroe, Mont Belvieu, Texas; one brother, Mickal Renfroe and wife, Mona, of Wisconsin; one sister, Debbie Girlinghouse and husband, Lloyd, Mont Belvieu; 17 grandchildren, Clay Connett, Brayden Connett, Myleah Clevenger, Chelsea Clevenger, Brieonah Weibel, Audrie Weibel, Tyler Ledford, Camryn Ledford, Tru Ledford, Presley Ledford, Fletcher Ledford, Briar Ledford, Chipper Ledford, Payton Ledford, Holden Ledford, Bailey Ledford and Hudson Ledford; and two nephews, Joe Terry and wife, Natalie, Mont Belvieu, and Mickal Terry, Huntsville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Renfroe; and son-in-law, Darren Connett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Carterville Christian Church. Robin Sigars and Dan King, Ministers will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mylinda's family members will be pallbearers. The visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Freeman Cancer in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
