JOPLIN, Mo. —
Ruth J. Jones passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Joplin, Mo.
Ruth was the daughter of O.E. and Euneva Jennings, of Joplin. Ruth was a loving mother and educator having taught many years as an elementary school teacher. For 23 years she was a book keeper for the McDonald's office in Joplin. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church where in previous years she was actively involved with inbound services providing assistance for the elderly.
Ruth will be sincerely missed by many friends and family.
Ruth is survived by her sister, Virginia Love and husband, Ben, of Tucson, Ariz.; her daughter, Sarah McBee and her fiancée, Brian Peterson; grandson, Elliott Kersh, of Joplin; granddaughter, Emily Trejo and husband, Roberto, of Joplin; her son, Brad Jones and his wife, Roni, of West Monroe, La.; grandsons, Dillon Buchanan and Alex Jones, of West Monroe; granddaughters, Olivia Ward and her husband, Eddie, of Louisana; granddaughters, Kati Zachary, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Annabelle Swink, of Fayetteville, Ark.; and one great-granddaughter, Aundrea Trejo.
Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, March 29, at 2 p.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary with Todd Taylor officiating.
